Forza Motorsport Review: Page 8

Conclusion

It’s here. Our own Xbox version of Gran Turismo… oops, I did it again. Realistically, it is true. Forza Motorsport might not sport the same huge amount of cars and tracks, but what it does offer is an incredibly well done execution of the same concept. It adds and improves in several areas.

Forza Motorsport offers a great combination of cars, tracks and customization. With the ability to adjust the difficulty at any time you’ll be able to hop in and make the game more challenging as you progress through the extensive career mode. With a seamless integration of Xbox Live featuring an incredible amount of leader boards, career online play, car clubs, it provides an online experience that simply can’t go wrong. Sometimes it’s leaving you wondering whether you’re racing your career offline or online. A question you never had to ask yourself.

Forza Motorsport is Microsoft’s first racing simulator and races its way into first place, easily being the best racing game currently available on the Xbox. If you haven’t snatched it yet, I highly recommend you to do so as soon as possible.

Scores? Ah yes, the scores. Very well.

Gameplay
9.5
With an extensive career mode keeping you busy for hours and immersive racing against challenging opponents, it makes you want for more, more and just more.
Content
9.5
Impressive list of cars, tracks and parts along with the ability to tune your car’s performance and customize the exterior sounds like a great combination. Not perfect, but definitely a great combination.
Graphics
9.0
The graphics do the job just fine presenting the cars and tracks in a beautiful way. The effects in the replay system is a great way to store those exciting moments.
Sounds
8.0
Every car has a distinguishable sound and every part noticeable alters the sound. Despite some loudness issues during racing, the sound should be quite impressive with its Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround support.
Replay Value
10.0
If the career mode doesn’t keep you playing, multiplayer will. Multiplayer won’t ever get boring with the huge amount of leader boards, downloadable ghosts and setups and countless of settings.
Overall Score
9.2
Any racing fan should should have this. Period. (Overall score is not an average)
